l'esterno dell'hotel Embedded in magnificent scenery of pine and oak woods, vineyards, olive and lavender fields, the private country guesthouse "FLEUR DU CAP" is nestled on a hill overlooking the medieval village of Bras, an ancient Templar site, right in the heart of Southern France's splendid "Green Provence" region. A true refuge from the city life's stress and a place to rediscover the beauty and silence of nature amidst a unique landscape.

You will stay in an authentic Provencal Manor with a splendid south front, large breakfast terrace, visible wooden beams, terracotta-floors and traditionally lime-coated, hand colored walls throughout the house. 5 luxury b&b rooms and 2 self-catering studio flats are available, all furnished with exquisite teakwood furniture, decorated in one of the warm Provencal colors and with private bathroom/WC. Moreover: free access to our dining hall with leisure room (Sat-TV, DVD, books, games, kitchenette), 8x4 m swimming pool surrounded by a 2-acres private nature park, Provencal garden with bbq facilities, breakfast and gourmet diners with local wine tasting served outside on the terrace, walks in the forest, guided excursions and, not to forget, the exceptional hospitality of your hosts Harald and Joël.

Ideally situated half way between the Verdon river and the Mediterranean Sea, you can easily reach from here all of Provence's famous sights including the breathtaking Verdon Canyon, the majestic limestone massifs and hiker paradise of Sainte-Victoire and Sainte-Baume, the lavender fields of Valensole, the beautiful beaches of Hyeres, the nearly untouched island of Porquerolles, the exciting French Riviera, the extraordinary rocky bays ('Calanques') of Cassis and Marseilles or the region's cultural capital Aix-en-Provence with all her vibrant markets, festivals, concerts and exhibitions. camera doppia All our B&B rooms and apartments are with private bathroom/WC and comfortably furnished with fine and stylish teakwood. Situated on the first floor, they offer a beautiful view on our nature park, the Sainte Baume Massif on the horizon or the roofs of Bras down in the valley. You will like the massive wooden ceiling beams, the warm red Mediterranean terracotta tiles on the floor and in the bathroom and the traditionally lime-coated hand-waxed walls. Like blobs on a painter's palette, each room shines in another color, giving them their unmistakable and typical Provencal character.

The B&B rooms are equipped with a French double bed with bedside tables, wardrobe, chest and table with chairs. Their rates include a generous breakfast for two as well as towels, bed linen, cleaning and taxes. If needed, an additional single bed may be added (supplement 15 €/night). Should you travel alone, the price will be reduced by 10 €/night.

Next to them are situated our self-catering apartments (studio flats of 30 m2). They offer a rest area with French double bed, bedside tables, folding sofa bed, wardrobe and chests. And a living and dining area with table and chairs as well as a fully equipped kitchenette (double hotplate, microwave, refrigerator, coffee machine, water boiler and kitchenware/dishes for 6), allowing you to be fully independent with all your meals (no breakfast is served). They are designed for two occupants but thanks to the sofa bed, they can accommodate up to four if needed. Should you wish more space or privacy, you may book an apartment together with the room right next to it and a 60 % discount on the normal room rate. The apartments are generally to be booked by the week (Sat. 5 p.m. to Sat. 11 a.m.) but depending on availability, other periods may be possible. Rates include bed linen, towels, water and electricity, heating (if needed), final cleaning and taxes. At your arrival we request a deposit of 100 € which will be refunded on your departure.

COLAZIONE

colazione Rich and generous continental breakfast is served with fresh French bread (baguette) and croissants (on Sundays homemade cakes), butter, selection of homemade jam/honey/nutella, yoghurts, fruit juice, coffee, tea, milk or hot chocolate, selection of cereals and fruits. Extras are available (eggs, omelets, ham or cold meat, cheese platter). During the warm season (April - October) breakfast is served outside on terrace.

COME RAGGIUNGERE L'HOTEL

By car
Bras is a typical Mediterranean village in the heart of "Green Provence'" Although situated amidst beautiful woods and vineyards, it is easy and fast to reach, because only 5 miles away from major traffic lines like the motorway A8 and the highway N7 (Aix-en-Provence - Nice), north of Saint-Maximin. Leave in Saint-Maximin (N7 is going through the town / A8 exit # 34) head to city center and follow the signs to Bras (country road D28, 5 miles). In Bras continue to the center until the "Café Nemrod" and after 200 ft. at the plane trees turn left into rue "Emile Combes". Then simply follow our blue signs for another mile to the top of our hill.

By train
By train (TGV high-speed line), your final station is either Marseilles-St.Charles or Aix-en-Provence/TGV (both about 40 miles from us). Several car rentals are available there. If you prefer taking a bus instead, it is best to get off the train in Marseilles-St.Charles as the bus stop ("Les Phocéens" tel. 04 93 85 66 61) is right next to the train station (whereas in Aix/TGV which is outside town, you would first have to take a shuttle to the central bus station). We also offer a pick-up service directly from Marseilles or Aix/TGV train station (provided availability of our minibus) at 65 € from Aix / 70 € from Marseilles (per trip).

By airplane
International Airports are Marseilles Provence (about 45 miles from us) and Nice-Cote d'Azur (about 85 miles). All major car rental agencies are available there as well as an interregional bus line ("Les Phocéens" tel. 04 93 85 66 61) to Saint-Maximin where our minibus may pick you up. We also offer an airport pick-up service (provided availability of our minibus) at 140 € from Nice / 75 € from Marseilles (per trip).
