By car
From Frankfurt/Cologne: take the A3 highway, direction Oberhausen until the highway crossing AK Hilden. Take the A46 until the exit Düsseldorf-Bilk. Follow the Federal road B8, called Südring. Make a right turn into Federal road B1, called Völkinger Straße. Follow the signs for Polizeipräsidium to the police headquarters.

From Koblenz: A61 highway, direction Mönchengladbach/Venlo until the highway crossing Erfttal. Take the A1 highway direction Köln. At highway crossing Köln-Nord, change to A57 highway, direction Düsseldorf. Exit at Neuss-Hafen and follow Federal road B1, called Völkinger Straße. Follow the signs for Polizeipräsidium to the police headquarters.

From Hamburg: take A1 highway, direction Bremen/Dortmund until the highway crossing Dortmund/Unna. Change to A40 highway, direction Bochum/Essen until the highway crossing Essen Ost. Take the A52 highway, direction Düsseldorf. At highway crossing Düsseldorf-Nord, change to A44 highway, direction Mönchengladbach. Exit at Düsseldorf-Stockum and follow the signs for Messe, leading to Düsseldorf trade fair on Federal road B8. Change to Federal road B1, direction Düsseldorf-Unterbilk. In the tunnel take exit Unterbilk and turn left. Follow the signs for Polizeipräsidium to the police headquarters.

From Berlin/Hannover: take A2 highway, direction Dortmund until the highway crossing Oberhausen. Take the A3 highway, direction Frankfurt until the highway crossing Hilden. Change to A46 and take exit Düsseldorf-Wersten. Follow the Federal road B326, called Werstener Straße. Take a right turn into Federal road B1, called Völkinger Straße. Follow the signs for Polizeipräsidium to the police headquarters.
